Football Fridays Return in 2010

Football Fridays return on September 3 at the Wick Center.

All Husker fans are invited to the second season of the Nebraska Alumni Association's Football Fridays! The series kicks off Sept. 3 at the Wick Alumni Center Holling Garden (northwest corner of 16th and R streets). The featured speaker is Jeff Jamrog, Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations. A panel of Husker experts including Husker legend Tommie Frazier, the Husker Sports Network’s Matt Davison and local media members will preview Nebraska’s season opener and answer fans’ questions about the team.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the program begins at 5:30 p.m. Football Friday is free and open to the public. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Fans in attendance have the opportunity to win football tickets, Champions Club passes and Husker memorabilia.

Football Friday events are also planned for Sept. 10, Sept. 24, Oct. 15, Oct. 29 and Nov. 12. The Sept. 24 event includes the homecoming parade and pep rally, and the new homecoming Jester Competition. and A complete 2010 Football Fridays schedule is posted on HuskerAlum.org.

The alumni association introduced Football Fridays in 2009, and the seven dates drew Husker fans from at least 16 states, from Oregon to Pennsylvania.
