The Beardmore Legacy
From a young age, Carey Beardmore Hamilton knew she wanted to be a car dealer. Four generations of Beardmores have sold cars. But she was pushing against tradition. Even today, only 4 percent of General Motors dealers are female. Women auto dealers are rare. She beat the odds and today owns and manages four dealerships with her husband, Brian Hamilton --- the Beardmore Chevrolet-Subaru dealerships in Bellevue; and Midway Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and Midway Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Kearney, Neb. Carey didn't jump into the business right away. Being a mom was her first priority. She took eight years to graduate from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1978 with a degree in business administration, collecting college credits in between raising two children. RiverFest Moves to New Site for Its 10th year.

You're invited to the festival on July 15-16.After 10 years at Haworth Park, the two-day RiverFest will move to the hilltop at Bellevue University.
