Husker Sports Network's live broadcast with Lane Grindle and former Husker Matt Davison is one highlight of the Sept. 17 Husker Tailgate.

Husker Tailgate Planned for Sept. 17 in Seattle

All Husker fans traveling to Seattle for the Nebraska-Washington game are invited to join the Nebraska Alumni Association and Husker Sports Network for a free Friday tailgate from 4-7 p.m. at Fox Sports Grill.

The event features the Husker Sports Network's live broadcast of Sports Nightly with Greg Sharpe and Lane Grindle, and former Huskers Matt Davison and Tommie Frazier. Several giveaways are planned, as well as food and drink specials.

The Fox Sports Grill is one block west of the Sheraton Seattle Hotel (1522 6th Avenue), the Nebraska alumni headquarters. Seating is first-come, first-served.

More than 450 Husker fans are part of the Nebraska Alumni Association's official tour to Seattle, produced in partnership with Executive Travel, Allied Tour & Travel and the Nebraska Athletic Department. About 1,100 people are expected at the sold-out pre-game Husker Huddle next to Husky Stadium. All ticket and travel packages were sold out in July.

The alumni association is working on potential 2010 postseason football trips, as well as 2011 trips to Big Ten destinations. Options will likely include charter air, land-only and ticket-Husker Huddle packages.

Demand for these trips will be high, and priority will be given to Nebraska Alumni Association life members on the waiting list. To add your name to the list, email [email protected]. To become a member today, call Bob Stelter at (402) 472-4246, or click here. Remember, you don't have to be a UNL graduate to join!
