    Q&A;: Offensive tackle Yoshi Hardrick

When the 6-foot-7, 319-pound senior lineman isn't holding down the left tackle spot on the practice field, he's killing time on Twitter. Hardrick has posted more than 5,400 tweets since joining the social network last July.

World-Herald: How did Twitter bring you Husker football players together this summer?

Yoshi Hardrick: I guess we showed the Husker Nation that we're starting to bond more and started to show them we're a better team now because we're closer. I don't know, we were bored in Lincoln in the summer. All you did is summer school, so we'd sit and Twitter all day.

WH: Do guys get pretty annoyed by how much Brandon Kinnie tweets during a day and fills up timelines?

YH: BK is OK, but I unfollowed BK. There's no harm. I just unfollowed him. I couldn't see what everyone else was saying to me because he tweets so much that he covers up everything. He unfollowed me back, but we are good.

WH: Were you one of the guys who was encouraging teammates to sign up and start tweeting this summer?

YH: Everybody was into starting a movement called Team Fill Your Timeline Up. A lot of people started joining. If you didn't have Twitter, you were not cool.

WH: Fans follow you guys and tweet at you all the time. Do you like that or does it get old quickly?

YH: It's good and bad. A lot of fans do way too much, and a lot of fans will tell you the right things and encourage you. A lot of fans just tweet 10 times a day, and when you tweet something, they tweet you twice. It kind of gets annoying at times, but we have the best fans in the nation.

WH: Isn't there a famous rapper who follows you on Twitter?

YH: Yeah, Soulja Boy. We went to high school together. He just blew up on one song, and everything else has been history. I'm proud of him. We both came from the same place, both trying to make our life better. We come from nothing and made it out.

WH: Do you keep track of how many people follow you, and do guys brag about that a lot?

YH: Brandon Kinnie and Lavonte (David) have 4,000. I'm at like 2,500. People need to follow @yoshi_50.
