NU women draw Georgia Tech
The Nebraska women’s basketball team will travel to Georgia Tech in NU’s first appearance in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge this fall. The Huskers, who are officially joining the Big Ten this summer, will face the Yellow Jackets Nov. 30. The programs have met once — the Yellow Jackets beat NU 73-68 in the 1992 WNIT. Georgia Tech made their fifth straight appearance in the NCAA tournament last season, earning a No. 5 seed.

The Nebraska women’s basketball team will travel to Europe for a summer tour in August, coach Connie Yori said Wednesday. The Huskers will go to Sweden, Norway and Denmark from Aug. 5 to 15. Nebraska coach Connie Yori said sophomore Katya Leick is leaving the women's basketball program Leick, a 6-foot-1 forward from Grey Cloud Township, Minn., averaged 5.1 points and 4.5 rebounds last season. For a player who’s not used to losing, Nebraska’s Lindsey Moore is handling disappointment pretty well this season. Moore’s team at Kentwood (Wash.) High School dropped 13 games during her career.
