A 28-year-old Omaha man was stabbed outside an Omaha bar early Friday.
Larry Newell was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition, but his injuries are not considered life threatening, according to Omaha police.
Police were called to Calfiornia Bar, 510 N. 33rd St., shortly after 1:30 a.m. to investigate a stabbing.
Witnesses told police that Newell and the suspect were standing outside the bar when the stabbing occurred.
The suspect fled on foot. Police had not located him several hours after the incident.
