Classes at Papillion-La Vista South High School don't begin until Wednesday, but students in the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps at the school are already putting themselves to the test.
The young men and women hit the football field Thursday morning for some calisthenics and marching drills.
Papillion-La Vista South has the state's only NJROTC program, whose classroom instruction is augmented through the year by community service, drill competition, field meets, marksmanship and other military training.
