COUNCIL BLUFFS — Scott W. Dilley of Council Bluffs was sentenced this week to more than 16 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
U.S. District Judge John A. Jarvey also sentenced Dilley, 44, to 120 months for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The judge ordered the firearm term be served at the same time as the 200 months for the conspiracy charge, and ordered Dilley to serve a five-year term of supervised release following incarceration.
Dilley pleaded guilty March 3. Authorities had evidence that he and four other people were distributing methamphetamine in the Council Bluffs area.
The investigation was conducted by the Southwest Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Pottawattamie County Attorney's Office, and was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Iowa. — World-Herald News Service
