Readers share their Four Seasons memories

From now through the end of August, readers can submit a memory of the Four Seasons, the iconic 1960s group that's the subject of the hit Broadway musical "Jersey Boys."

Your entry will ensure you a chance at winning tickets to "Jersey Boys" when it comes to Omaha's Orpheum Theater on Sept. 7.

Go to Omaha.com/contests to share your memory.

"Jersey Boys," part of the Omaha Performing Arts Broadway Across America series, will be here through Sept. 25. Tickets are available through Ticket Omaha, www.ticketomaha.com, 402-345-0606 or at the Holland Performing Arts Center box office, 12th and Douglas Streets.

On Saturdays, we'll print some entries in the Living section. Here are a few:

When I was 18, my boyfriend and I were on a double date and we were in the backseat and I remember him breaking up with me and I was crying. The Four Seasons song "Big Girls Don't Cry" came on the radio and he tried to "console" me with that. Didn't work. They should have played "Walk Like a Man."

Donna Franzen, Elkhorn

The Jersey Boys are close to my heart because I am from New Jersey! All of my family is still there. They've all seen the play and I've been dying for the chance!

Everytime I hear "Sherry" I think of my dad singing it in the most godawful voice on Sunday mornings while making breakfast. (My mom's name is Sherry) Unfortunately, all I can hear is his voice in my head.

Michelle Korb, Omaha

I was 10 years old and it was my parents' anniversary. When my Dad came home, he had flowers and was singing at the top of his lungs: "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You!" I remember tears coming down my Mom's face. As a little kid, I didn't understand the tears ... Now I do! Diana Shipley, Omaha
